Anthony Brooklere  District 1

Anthony Brooklere and his wife, Sara Jean have lived in the Forestdale – Adamsville community for over 50 years. He has two children, both of whom are pharmacists. His daughter Anna works at UAB and his son, Johnny, works with him at Adamsville Pharmacy. He and his wife operated Brooklere Pharmacy in Forestdale for 35 years. He and his son own and operate Adamsville Pharmacy and Brooklere Home Pharmacy Services. Soon they will open Brooklere Pharmacy in Alabaster.

Anthony graduated with honors from the School of Pharmacy at Auburn University. He is a member and a past president of the Jefferson County Pharmacy Association, the Alabama Pharmacy Association, and the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. In 1976, Anthony was awarded the "Bowl of Hygeia", pharmacy’s most prestigious award.

    Anthony is a member of St. Patrick Church in Adamsville, where he serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee, lector and Extraordinary Minister.

    He is a Charter member and past president of the Forestdale Lions Club with 48 years of perfect attendance.

 

Reginald Crawford  District 2

A CHANGE HAS COME

My name is Reginald Crawford and I am presently City Councilman for District 2.

· I currently reside on Westwood Avenue and am the proud father of a son and daughter, Reginald Crawford, Jr and Richelle Crawford McCray.

· I was a graduate of Western Olin High School and later Attended Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama

· I am a retired Automotive Technician from the State of Alabama Department of Transportation with 20 years of service and numerous awards, including Who’s Who at General Motors.

· I am the current Secretary/Treasurer of the Original Golden Rod Bass Club and have held this position for the last four years. I have also served as the Treasurer for the Southeastern Association of Black Bass Anglers where I have worked with the City of Birmingham sponsoring youth activities such as fishing, boat riding and rodeos.

· Presently I am the Vice-President of the Adamsville Lions Club

· Member of National League of Cities

· Part-Time Funeral Director

· My goals as City Councilman for District 2 are to clean up the Community, bring in new businesses and improve the Police, Fire and Public works Department.


· During the next 2 years or more their will be a better change for the city of Adamsville.

I was born August 29, 1973 to Ernest McCray (deceased) and Gladys Owens. I graduated from Holy Family High School in 1991 and I received my B.A. in Business Management from Talladega College in 1995. I am presently employed as a Legal Transfer Representative. I married my wife Shannon in 2002 and she is employed by Jefferson County Board of Education at Hillview Elementary School.

I was elected to the City Council in 2008. My purpose for running for city council is to help improve the quality of life for the citizens of Adamsville. Current responsibilities as councilman, work with the youth leagues in the city, assist the City of Adamsville Library Board, assist in establishing ordinances & resolutions, committee chairman of the Park and Recreation Committee, working with the local schools in the city with different activities and most importantly serve the City with a public servant spirit.

Adamsville Lions Club (President for the fiscal year 2010-11)
Board Member of B.E.A.T (Bethel Ensley Action Task Force) of Birmingham, Al.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Alumni Chapter of Alabaster-Pelham

I have over 24 years of community service that has help me relate to the citizens of Adamsville in the different areas of support. I have volunteered in Greene County with repairing damage homes, Birmingham Zoo, Discovery Place, American Diabetes Association, City Stages, American Cancer Society, and a host of other volunteer opportunities I had the opportunity to serve..
