The Adamsville Police Department is committed to community-oriented policing values as reflected in our mission.  The mission of the Department is to work with all citizens to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property, and promote individual responsibility and community commitment.

 

 

 

Police Chief Robert Carter

Carter is a Jefferson County Native. His first day on patrol as a Police Officer was here in Adamsville on Memorial Day 1977. He was re-hired by Adamsville in May 2007 as Chief of Police and spent Memorial day on patrol. He has been a Chief of Police since 1998. He is married and has four children.

 

His philosophy is: The best Police Officers are rule following, problem solving, professionals. His goal is to make Adamsville Police Department the best in the nation for it's size.
